This is a charming, well-kept and clean home. The location is fantastic.
Two bedroom + one small office + one very small captive bedroom/reading room + one full bath on second floor. Absolutely splendid stone fireplace. Apparently, this home, built in the early 1940's was the Fire Chief of Pittsburgh's home. Premium Clinker brick adds beauty and character, recessed water heat radiators.
There is a larger bedroom and a smaller bedroom. There is a captive very small bedroom/reading room with a built-in bed annexed to the master bedroom. Our 1 year old slept there with our crib for the newborn in the separate room (although some people would do the reverse). There is a small office annexed to the living room. There is an internet cable running from living room to utility room and office, as well as to the basement; I needed this for a VPN connection to work, it is suitable for an internet gaming connection since it connects in the living room. The bathroom is quaint.
Covered patio in back yard. Fenced in back yard. There is a reasonably large shed in back yard.
Utility room is half carpeted and half linoleum. We used the carpeted section for the exercise area; the linoleum area for the washer/dryer. There is also a build in workdesk and book shelving under the desk. We kept this house because we could not bear to sell it. It is a lovely house.
The location is perfect, adjacent to Mount Lebanon, Green Tree, Scott and the City of Pittsburgh. Multiple shopping conveniences all minutes away in Greentree, Mt. Lebanon and Scott (as well as easy access to the City, North Hills, Oakland, etc.)
Dormont Park across street, with public pool, children's playground, tennis courts. Food, pool, tennis and public park across street. For late night needs or cravings, there is 24-hour Rite Aid. Catch a bus to downtown across street at Banksville Plaza.
